ARCHER FARMS PUMPKIN SPICE CREME-FILLED ROLLED WAFERS

Welcome to day 12 of Tag Sale Tastes’ Pumpkinpalooza 2020!

Today’s pumpkin fare is Archer Farms Pumpkin Spice Creme-Filled Rolled Wafers, from Target:

Pumpkin is present on the tin:

They are pitched as “deliciously crisp cookies” that are “filled with comforting flavors”:

The ingredients don’t suggest anything pumpkin spice-y — banking it all on “natural flavor”:

And here they are:

Aren’t they cute with their little stripes that sort of hint at spice?  You know you want one.  And they were pretty good.  They had a mild cinnamon taste with a slightly musty nutmeg note, and the cream filling wasn’t overly sweet.  They were, as promised, “deliciously crisp,” although I wouldn’t go so far as to call them “comforting.”  All in all, these were a good little cookie, that would go nicely with a cup of coffee.

FLIPZ PUMPKIN SPICE COVERED PRETZELS

Welcome to day 11 of Tag Sale Tastes’ Pumpkinpalooza 2020!

Today we’re checking out Flipz Pumpkin Spice Covered Pretzels:

Looks like we’re in for some pumpkin and cinnamon — ooh boy! These pair well with “sweaters, apple cider, fireplaces, and good friendz.”  Do I hear “My Favorite Things” playing softly in the background? There are no identifiably pumpkin spice-y ingredients listed, but that’s not a deal-breaker:
Here they are:

The pale orange color lets you know these are not just any old coated pretzels.  My son and I flipped over these — they’re crunchy, sweet, salty, with a mild pumpkin spice flavor and no aftertaste.  My son has already purchased a second bag, which is high praise indeed.  Move aside chocolate-covered pretzels — there’s a new kid in town!
