TANGY BARBECUE SAUCE

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 cups cider vinegar
  • 1 cup yellow mustard
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside until ready to use.
