KASHI PUMPKIN SPICE FLAX CRUNCHY GRANOLA BARS

Welcome to day 8 of Tag Sale Tastes’ Pumpkinpalooza!

Today I tried Kashi Pumpkin Spice Flax Crunchy Granola Bars:

The box said that I “can snack with satisfaction and feel great about it!”  I was so excited — who says I can’t get no satisfaction?

The ingredients include cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, presumably justifying the pumpkin spice title.  Oh, and pumpkin seeds to keep it real.

bars

The box contains 6 pouches with two bars each.  Here’s the bars:

The bars were crunchy.  And crumbly — be prepared to be brushing off crumbs.  They were also dry as sawdust — have a glass of milk (or a pumpkin spice latte) on hand to wash them down with.  The cinnamon taste was noticeable, although the nutmeg and cloves were not.  They didn’t taste like pumpkin spice to me.  They tasted like bananas, which I didn’t understand.  Although I didn’t really like them, it didn’t necessarily stop me from eating them.  I just didn’t get that, you know, satisfaction out of snacking on them.  Unlike many other pumpkin spice products currently available, there is no indication that these are a limited edition seasonal product, which they might want to rethink.

Rating:  2-1/2 pumpkins (out of 5)

I'd love to hear from you!
