PEPPERIDGE FARM MILANO PUMPKIN SPICE COOKIES

Welcome to day 7 of Tag Sale Tastes’ Pumpkinpalooza!

Right on the heels of Pepperidge Farm’s Pumpkin Cheesecake Soft Dessert Cookies, I’m sampling another Pepperidge Farm cookie — this time it’s Pepperidge Farm Milano Pumpkin Spice Flavored Cookies. (Thanks to Angela from Seasonal and Savory for alerting me to these.)

No pumpkin or spice listed in the ingredients — only “natural flavors.”

Here’s the cookies:

I’m not quite sure about the skid marks on the cookies.  I guess that’s supposed to be the “pumpkin spice.”  I didn’t understand the point of these cookies.  It’s like Pepperidge Farm said “let’s take something delicious and make it into something that is not.”  The familiar crisp cookie and chocolate filling is still there, with an added hint of mustiness.

Pepperidge Farm, I gave you another chance after the Pumpkin Cheesecake cookies, but this it — I am breaking up with you.

UPDATE:  My husband told me he thought my review of these cookies was harsh . . . until he tried one.

Rating:  2 pumpkins (out of 5)
